City Advocates Association, and the undersigned, hereafter called "Member," by execution of this Agreement has this day joined City Advocates Association, hereinafter called "City Advocates," to advocate on behalf of the Member.

City Advocates will apply its best efforts to convince the City of Houston’s elected official(s) and/or City Management of the wisdom of the positions taken by our Members.

City Advocates will establish links with other organizations or interests whose goals, either in general or in specific issues, are similar to those of our Members.

City Advocates will encourage city employees’ participation in the City of Houston’s legislative process. City Advocates will organize the presentation of testimony or other forms of evidence before the City of Houston’s Council committees and/or Civil Service Commission.

Representation is not available at the $30 membership rate to new members who within 30 days of sign-up are placed on administrative leave, have a Loudermill Meeting, or a case pending before the Civil Service Commission.

Member agrees to pay City Advocates a fee of $30 per month for a minimum of 12 months. This fee will be deducted from Member’s payment account on file immediately after City Advocates receives this signed agreement. At the end of the 12-month period, your contract will automatically renew on a month to month basis.

Member understands this written agreement is irrevocable for the duration of the initial 12 months and can be terminated anytime after by notifying City Advocates by email or fax. If you choose to cancel after this initial period, then cancellation will be effective 30 days after proper notice to City Advocates.
